The Music
For a laid back sophisticated mood to accompany dinner or drinks, the Urban Blue vocal repertoire includes jazz and bossa nova standards made famous by Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as the easy listening songs of artists such as Norah Jones and mellow soul classics such as "Walk On By" and "You’ve Got A Friend".

If you don't require a singer, our instrumental groups play jazz standards, smooth jazz grooves, latin music, funk and classic ballads to create the perfect atmosphere for your event. You can request a duo, trio or quartet led by the saxophone or piano. We also provide solo cocktail piano.

We are usually happy to learn a song for a special occasion.

Our Musicians
Talented and in demand, Urban Blue musicians have played with artists including Jools Holland, Alison Moyet, Michael Buble, Jamie Cullum, Vanessa Mae, The Sugababes, Brand New Heavies, Level 42 and Katie Melua and at prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scott's and Londons Jazz Café.

Previous Clients
We are privileged to count Sir Paul McCartney among our many high profile clients. He personally chose us to provide the entertainment for his music publishing company's Christmas party - and liked us so much that he jumped on stage and sang 3 Beatles classics with us!

We've also featured in the recent film "Brideshead Revisited" (starring Emma Thompson and Michael Gambon), played at the Sports Industry Awards (attended by the likes of David & Victoria Beckham), and for three years running we've flown out to Hong Kong to perform at the world famous 5* Intercontinental Hotel's New Year's Eve celebrations.
