Urban Blue have a large repertoire of songs and styles, and can tailor the set list to suit your event.

On a typical evening our singer might open with a jazz set including such favourites as Fly Me To The Moon, My Baby Just Cares For Me, Come Fly With Me, It Had To Be You, Girl From Ipanema and Summertime.

Once we've got you in the mood we'll shift up a gear with pop and soul classics Dock of The Bay, Son of A Preacher Man and Easy, before really getting the party going with dance floor fillers like Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl, Play That Funky Music, Billie Jean, Superstition and songs from Beyonce, the Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Queen, Chaka Khan and James Brown. All your favourite pop and soul party tunes, given the Urban Blue flavour - a fat groove, soulful vocals and infectious energy.

From jazz and swing, to soul and funk, rock and roll to contemporary chart pop Urban Blue can do it all, and we'll emphasise the styles and songs that work best for you and your guests.


Background Music
For a laid back sophisticated mood to accompany dinner or drinks, the Urban Blue vocal repertoire includes jazz and bossa nova standards made famous by Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as the easy listening songs of artists such as Norah Jones.

If you don’t require a singer, our instrumental groups play jazz standards, smooth jazz grooves, latin music and classic ballads to create the perfect atmosphere for your event. You can request a duo, trio or quartet led by the saxophone or piano. We also provide solo cocktail piano.

And if you can’t decide whether you want background music or party music - you can have both! A jazz quartet during cocktails or dinner, followed by the full band plus singer to get the dance floor packed in the evening - no problem.
